Calvin and Ave’maria Griffin

Calvin Griffin recently completed his service as Stake President of the Denton Texas Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His nine years as stake president followed earlier service as a counselor in the stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, Elders Quorum presidency councilor, High Priest Group leadership, and Stake Mission Presidency counselor to name a few. He now leads Church African Heritage outreach across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.

Professionally, Brother Griffin has spent more than 30 years in procurement, product management, and manufacturing supply chain services, contributing extensive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Ave’maria Griffin is a retired pharmacist with more than 38 years of professional service. She has served faithfully in numerous Church callings, including Seminary Teacher, Relief Society Music Leader, Primary and Nursery Teacher, Den Mother, Ward Activity Leader, Relief Society Teacher, Stake African Heritage Specialist and Stake Activities Director. She now serves as African Heritage Specialist for the Dallas Texas North Coordinating Council.

Together, Brother and Sister Griffin have been active contributors to the broader community. They served and participated on the City of Denton Juneteenth Committee, hosted and participated in the Interfaith National Day of Prayer, supported JustServe initiatives, and hosted a Community Saints in Unity event for clergy of many faiths.

Brother and Sister Griffin love the gospel of Jesus Christ and extend a heartfelt invitation to all to come unto Him and partake of His goodness.
