Why I Believe in the Savior: How Belief in the Savior Has Blessed My Family and Me

Dr. Helen Graham, a Persian Gulf War veteran (Air Force), is Vice President at Houston City College NE. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, Masters in Liberal Arts, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership with an emphasis on Higher Education Administration. She has been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for more than three decades and has served in several callings including community outreach specialist for the US SW Area, assistant director for the Greater Houston Region Communication Council, family history consultant, Sunday school teacher, and first counselor in her ward’s young women’s presidency.
Dr. Graham is the recipient of a civil rights community award, a national teaching award, the national defense service medal, and several other awards. Dr. Graham served as Historian, Genealogical Researcher, and co-author of the final report Back to Bondage: Forced Labor in Post Reconstruction Era Texas. She and her husband Kendall have a blended family of six and reside in Missouri City, Texas.
