Elaine Dalton

Elaine Dalton was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. She received her bachelor's degree in English from Brigham Young University.
She married Stephen E. Dalton and they are the parents of five sons and one daughter and after 50 years of marriage they find themselves surrounded by 21 blond haired grandchildren!
She served as the Young Women General president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2008 until 2013. She feels this service has been a grand privilege and blessing in her life.
Elaine served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Utah Valley University. She is currently the president of the Stella Oaks Foundation. Her most important titles however are wife and best friend of Stephen Dalton, mother to six magnificent adult children, and grandmother.
She enjoys being outdoors, hiking with her family and dancing with her granddaughters. She has run 17 marathons and qualified for and completed two Boston Marathons. She is the author of three books for women and young women and speaks to groups of young women and women about their identity, potential, and purpose.
Elaine loves life and believes in people. She has great confidence in the rising generation of noble youth. She often says “I believe that one virtuous young woman or young man can change the world!”
