Karen and Jon Scholl
Before They Go

Jon and Karen Scholl served as mission leaders of the Philippines San Pablo Mission from 2023–2026, where they had the privilege of leading and loving nearly 500 young and senior missionaries.
Jon is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and Harvard Business School. He began his career as a U.S. Navy nuclear submarine officer and nuclear power plant instructor. He later spent 15 years with The Boston Consulting Group, where he led its North American Healthcare practice. His career also included leadership roles with TenFold HealthCare Group and Texas Health Resources, where he oversaw strategy and business development. He later became Group President of Leidos Health. Now retired, Jon enjoys flying as a private pilot and loves designing, building, and fixing just about anything.
Karen attended Brigham Young University and spent many years as a fitness instructor. Her favorite role, however, was being home with their five children, including homeschooling three of them. She loves creating—especially sewing, crochet, and needlepoint—as well as baking, party planning, exercising, and bringing people together.
Jon and Karen are the parents of five children and grandparents of 14. They have served together as service mission leaders and temple ordinance workers. Jon has also served as a bishop and high councilor, while Karen has served in Young Women, Relief Society, Primary, seminary, and other teaching and leadership roles.
They love their family, the missionaries they served with, and opportunities to continue serving the Lord.
