Katy Willey grew up in Colorado in a family with four girls. She attended Brigham Young University and earned a degree in Home and Family Life, She and her husband, Elder Brian Willey, who serves as an Area Seventy, met her first weekend away from home at BYU. They have been happily married for 27 years and are the parents of four incredible daughters who are each talented in unique ways. Three of their daughters are young single adults and their youngest is finishing middle school this year. Katy is a devoted seminary teacher, a retired girls camp leader, and a passionate student of the scriptures. She enjoys deep sea fishing, broadway musicals and playing mahjong. Her love for the Savior and His gospel is evident in both her teaching and the way she lives her life.
