Lynelle Horikami
How Firm Is Your Foundation?

Lynelle Horikami was born in Kailua, Hawaii. Raised in the Catholic faith, she gained an interest in The Book of Mormon because she had a teen crush on Donny Osmond. Later, during her college years at The University of Hawaii, she learned that if you enrolled in a class at the LDS Institute of Religion, you’d get free, prime campus-parking and free lunches on Fridays! She immediately registered for the Celestial Marriage class, got baptized, fell in love (not with Donny, but David 😊), earned her degree in Secretarial Science, served in the Ecuador-Quito Mission, married David in the Hawaii Temple, and raised nine beautiful children in Flower Mound, Texas.
Following thirty-six years of full-time motherhood, Lyn now works as a medical assistant at DFW Endocrinology and is a BYU Pathway student. Currently, Lyn enjoys the good life of serving in church callings (favorite: seminary teacher), as well as biking, hiking, camping, kayaking and fishing with David, their children, and grandchildren.
