Peacemaking Begins in the Most Basic of Places… Your Hearts
Melissa McKneely lives in Allen and is the Communication Director for the Dallas East Coordinating Council. In that capacity she has had the unique opportunity to serve as the spokesperson for the Fairview Texas Temple. She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas and has spent the last 17 years serving in various Church communication callings.
A Southern California girl at heart, Melissa's life took a turn toward Texas when she served a Spanish-speaking mission in Houston—and met her husband, Stephen, along the way. Twenty-five years and four kids later, they're still calling Texas home.
Melissa laughs at the idea of being called a "runner," but she's definitely a goal-setter, and she's still riding the high of finishing a half marathon earlier this year. When she's not chasing goals (or kids), you'll likely find her at the lake with her family or curled up with a good book—ideally within arm’s reach of a Diet Dr Pepper.
