Mindy Phillips

Mindy Phillips has lived in 5 states — Utah, Idaho, Maryland, Delaware, and Texas. She loves and misses things about each location, but Texas feels like home and she loves it here. She has a wonderful husband and 3 great kids, and they’ve loved road tripping and exploring as they’ve moved around the country. They officially made it to all 50 states together a few years ago, before their oldest child got married.

Mindy knew she HAD to learn Mahjong when she watched Crazy Rich Asians and heard the tiles clacking! She finally learned (American) Mahjong, and quickly knew this would be a great brain and math game for not only adults, but kids. As a homeschool mom, that’s where the idea to teach it began. She made her husband play Mahjong with her daily to practice teaching and study all the rules, and now enjoys spreading the game any chance she gets.
